CMID is a technology company with a clear goal: to make materials usable throughout their entire lifespan and across multiple life cycles. Our team combines experience from the construction industry, product development, and research – with the vision of establishing digital material identities as the standard for a circular construction industry.

Our founders, Benedikt Bührle and Marcel Winter, combine practical experience in planning, construction, and digitalization. CMID was born out of the desire to protect resources and make construction processes more transparent – supported by leading research partners. The solution: a material-based technology that takes effect right from the manufacturing stage and makes auditable data available throughout the entire supply chain.
